The residents of Union County take a great deal of pride in the surreal atmosphere of the quite rural countryside, that offers a treasure chest of peaceful and stress free days. They feel that this contributes to the wellness of the people who reside here.  The citizens of Union County have in recent years expressed their interest about the healthcare in the area to such agencies as the Union County Health Department and the Union County Health Council.

      The Union County Health Council in collaboration with the Tennessee Rural Health Association and the East Tennessee Regional Health Office, recently completed a “Community Diagnosis” of the county’s health issues.  The “diagnosis” focused on the top 10 health concerns, ranging from highway safety to hypertension.  The council continues to promote positive health and gain monetary resources for the improvement of the health and safety of the citizens of Union County.

      We are fortunate to be located in such a beautiful area of East Tennessee, secluded from the BIG city, yet within 25 miles of several metropolitan hospitals located in nearby Knoxville, Tennessee.
